House Boat Museum | | Attractions Urban attractions 8.Shrine of King Naresuan the Great This shrine is located opposite to the township area in the compound of the Phitsanulok Phittayakom School. It consists of a seated figure of King Naresuan the Great pouring lustral water from a golden container and ceremoniously declaring Ayuthya's independence from Myanmar. The shrine is built on the site of Chandra Palace,where he was born in the year 1555 A.D. THe present shrine's building was completed on November 28,1961 A.D. 9.Chandra Palace Chandra Palace was the birth place of King Naresuan the Great and King Ekatosarot. It is located at Phitsanulok phittayakom. At present the government is going to excavate more this place and will make this place to be attractions in the future. 10.Walls and moats It was assumed that these walls were built in the same type as Sukothai walls by King Borom Tri Lokganard for preventing the troops of Lanna Kingdom and the walls were used in many wars untill King Rama I ( Rattana Kosin Era ) had the command to demolish them because he did not want Burma troops to use these walls anymore. At present there are obvious walls in the area of Wat Noi and Phitsanulok Police Station. About the exist moats,they are parallel Phra Ruang road. 11.Folklore Museum Located opposite the Buranathai Buddha Image foundry, Wisuthasat Road, Amphur Muang. This museum is well known for its collections of all folk-arts, basketry, pottery and ancient kitchen utensils. In addition to these, there also are instruments for agriculture occupation and household living displayed. Folklore Museum won the Award of Excellence in Tourism Award from Tourism Authority of Thailand in 1998. 12.Art & Culture Gallery, Naresuan University (Sanambin Campus) Located at the resource centre on Sanambin Rd. Amphoe Muang, Phitsanulok. The purpose of this gallery are to promote and to preserv Thai arts and culture. In The Art & Culture Gallery :
- Art Gallery : Collected more than 100 artistic works of renowned Thai artists such as : Chuan Leakpai (former Thailand's Prime Minister), Sawasdi Tantisuk (National Artist in visual Arts), Phun Ketchamrat (National Artist in visual Arts), Priyuan Aruchata (National Artist in visual Arts), Pratuang Emjaroen, Chavalit Saemprungsuk, Chung Moonphit, Chalermchai Kosipipat.
- Museum : "The Way of Life of The People in the Lower North" There are more than 500 anticrafts covering household utensils, agricultural tools and manuscripts.
- Data Base : for study of the Lower North, Thai Classical Dance and Music.

13.Nan Riverside Park and House Boat Museum This park is built by Phitsanulok Munucipality in 2002. It situated on Nan riverside which is the place that Phitsanulok people and travellers take a rest and exercise. In this park there are many kind of trees and flowers. Nearby there is House Boat Museum which demonstrate house boat people life and their house boat.
